WilliamMUNROThe family of William (Bill) Munro announces his passing peacefully at the Biggart Hospital on the 11th May 2024 aged 80 years. Originally from Dunure and thereafter residing in Alloway with his late wife Avril, he leaves behind his sister Sandra, her husband Alex, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Additionally, brother-in-law Gordon, his wife Hazel, nieces, and great-nephews. Without naming individuals, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all his friends for their kindness and support through some very difficult times, with a special mention to his friends from his various clubs and groups, including Ayr Rugby Club, Tam O Shanter Golf Club, Golf Holidays, Walking Club, Shopping Club, Gazebo Club (during COVID), Chestnuts Hotel, and friends and former colleagues from his thirty-plus years in the water industry. Furthermore, we extend our thanks to all staff and volunteers at Ayrshire Cancer Support, MacMillan Cancer Support, The Beatson, Crosshouse, Ayr, and MacMillan Ward Biggart hospitals.

A private funeral has been arranged at Bill's request.

Fond memories of Bill. He was a man who had a wide knowledge of the water industry. Bill interviewed me for a position in Ayr and I thank him for my success and me moving down from Glasgow. 37 years I'm still here. Thanks Bill.
